December 2003
This was a real busy month because we had several guests over the Christmas Holiday.
A long-time friend named Zena was one of the first to arrive.
We also looked after Tia and Molly again.
Lastly we were visited by Fenix and Blondie.

November 2003
Zoe' 2nd birthday was on the 10th and we had a small party at home for her.
We also watched a few dogs in November starting with Hilda, a Rottweiler, and Max, a Mini Schnauzer.

We also watched Akua, a Shiba Inu, during the Thanksgiving Holiday.

September has been and will be a busy month.  First we have the trials of house training a new puppy although he took to using the doggie door more readily than Zoe.  Next up was a 4 day stay by Sierra, a Shepard mix.  Later that same day Fenix celebrated his 1st birthday at our house.  Fenix and Zack played all day.  It was friendship at first sight despite the size disparity.

At the end of the month, we will celebrate our friend Toto's birthday.  We will have a big party at the dog park.  Refreshments will be served for people and dogs alike.

Today we added a new member to our family.  Zachariah was purchased from local breeders.  He is a Salt & Pepper Miniature Schnauzer.  He is 8 weeks old and weighs about 5 pounds.  He's thrilled with his older sisters but we're not sure if they are as thrilled with him.  We can almost hear them thinking, "Oh no!  Not a new puppy.  Al he wants to do is play and we will never get any rest."  The only way they can get away from him is to jump up on the couch.  Better enjoy it while you can girls because he wont stay this small for long.

We bought Zack to breed with Zoe.  We think they'll make beautiful puppies together.  Hopefully by next summer we'll have a whole new generation of Schnauzers.

The end of June and beginning of July were very busy for us.  We had 7 dogs staying with plus our own 2.  It was a big doggie party.  Fenix came first - he's a 9 month old Boxer puppy.  He's full of energy and very intelligent.  He had a blast playing with the other dogs.

Guiness and Buddy were the next to arrive later that same day.  Guiness is a beautiful Shepherd mix.  Fenix was glad to have another big dog around.  I think he was beginning to feel outnumbered by the small dogs.  Buddy is an adorable long-haired Dachshund.  He's a real people person and preferred to sit and sleep right next to his new human friends.

The following day we had Phoebe and Vinny come to stay.  They were the cutest couple  Phoebe is a young, black Mini Schnauzer and Vinny is a handsome Bichon Frise.  Phoebe is very protective of Vinny and she would make sure Vinny was settled in before she would rest herself.  They were so adorable together.

That night our last set of dogs arrived - our old friends Tia and Molly.  They've been coming to stay with us several times a year for the last 3 years.  Tia is a Jack Russell Terrier mix.  She's a ball of fire - very feisty and she loves to play.  Molly, a Border Collie mix, is her exact opposite.  She is quiet and shy, the ultimate lap dog.  Both dogs were rescue dogs and were lucky to find a wonderful home with their current owner.  They've been good friends to Schnickerdoodle and Zoe.

Needless to say, it was Doggie Central here for a while.  Everywhere you looked, there was at least 1 or more dogs.  I think they all really enjoyed each other's company and we want to thank all our doggie friends who made it a big success.

Today, Fenix took advantage of our Doggie Day Care services.  He came to stay during the day while his owners were busy.  He and Zoe have a special friendship going.  She's not much older than he is so they have a lot of fun playing together.  They're such an odd couple - she's so small and he's so big.  It doesn't seem to bother them though.  They play together well and don't seem to notice the size difference.  Thanks for coming by Fenix!

In June, we lost a beloved member of our family.  Teej, dog owned by Kim's sister and nephew was put to sleep after 17 years of devoted companionship.  We know she's up in heaven with our dog Muffin who was put to sleep last year at the same age.  They were both great friends while they were still with us and we know they are having a blast together now.  Have fun cousins!  Teej, we'll miss you.  Muffin - take care of Teej and show her the ropes.

Schnickerdoodle and Zoe hosted 2 Shih-Tzus, Itchi Bon and Buster, for the past 4 days.  Itchi Bon is a very mellow 5 year old and he got along well with our 6 year old Schnickerdoodle.  They did a lot of napping together and it was so cute to see them curled up next to each other.  Buster is a gorgeous 7 month old puppy who looks like a big ball of fur.  Zoe fell in love at first sight.  They played constantly and wore each other out.  Schnickerdoodle even played with him.  We haven't seen her that playful in a few years.  Now that they have gone home, both our dogs are crashed on the couch.  They haven't moved in hours.  Thanks for the fun times, Itchi Bon and Buster.

This date was the official launch of this Website.  It was so much fun building this site to show our ideas for the business and to share our love of dogs with others.
